Meet Aliah, Art Camp Director

Hi! My name is Aliah and I’m a Senior at the University of North Florida pursuing a degree in Fine Arts (Painting & Drawing). I grew up with a love for nature and farm life, always exploring new ways to create art. Being surrounded by nature and animals allowed me to foster my curiosity and creativity in ways i wouldn’t have otherwise. Now, with my love of art and the outdoors, am excited for this new adventure (together with my Mom, Annie) and look forward to growing together as artists! Upon Graduation my dream is work at my art studio, Aliah's Art Shed full time, opening my doors to artists of all ages.

Our Daily Schedule

We will start the day saying “good morning” to the animals and helping to feed them and collect eggs from the chicken coop. After the all the animals have had their fill of love and attention, we will head into the studio for our first project. We will stick loosely to our weekly themes but here at Aliah’s Art Shed we focus on Process Art which just means we are all about the making and the doing rather than the finished product. Then we will head back outside for a nature inspired activity, followed by lunch on the patio or picnic in the shade. Campers will bring their own lunch. We will provide lots of bottled water. After lunch we’ll dive into our afternoon project, and then it’s time for sensory play! We love experimenting with slime, oobleck, and homemade play doh. Then it’s time for a snack before we say good-bye. At the end of the week, we will host an art show for the children to share their art work with their family and celebrate the great week on the farm we shared together.
